Teresa Almeida d'Eça |
Hi, everyone! I'm Teresa Almeida
d'Eça from the greater Lisbon area in Portugal. I've been an EFL
teacher for many years and have taught at all levels. I'm part of
the teaching staff of a state middle school and will be teaching
6th graders (2nd year EFLers) this year. I love teaching and find
it an even more challenging task since the arrival of ICTs. I also
love computers, the Internet and interacting with friends and
colleagues through chat and email. I did my first online course in
October 2001 and joined the Webheads in Action in January 2002.
Since then I've been actively involved in the online world of
education!
In this course I hope to be able to "mix business with pleasure"
as much as possible: learning in a fun and stimulating way! The
syllabus of The Learning Classroom is exciting and challenging,
and a veteran teacher such as myself has a lot to learn from it
and from this wonderful group of people. If you'd like to know
more about me and my work, please visit my Web site at

you might want to have a look at an article I wrote some time ago
on starting online.
Languages with Technology: A Teacher’s View. It is a
pleasure to be here participating with you in this workshop and I
hope I will be able to learn from and with you and share some of
my experience online. Warm regards from Brazil, Bee.

Greetings the English Workshop! I am
delighted to join you in exploring the virtues of the on-line
course: The Learning Classroom Theory and Practice. As a social
scientist, I look forward to witness the challenges that this
technology offers us as we embark in a collaborative learning
experience. As an educator, I am curious about understanding how
people learn. As a life long learner, I look forward to reviewing
the information offered to us here and learn more about ways to
enhance our understanding of how well these blended methods work.
